The performance company works to a professional level through a training programme. The programme is 4 hours a week, and covers fitness, technique, contemporary/ballet, flexibility, creative and set choreographic works by Artistic Director, Marcia Edwards or Guest Artists. There are also opportunities to work alongside the professional company. We concentrate on the experience of professional dancers and artists, and all that it involves.

In 1-2-1 sessions Marcia will provide coaching tailored to the individual student, working on choreography, technique and performance. Marcia has prepared some of her students for auditions at places such as Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Trinity Laban and Kidderminster College.

We Need Communities and Stories!

ME Dance Company are looking for Birmingham based communities to work with for our new upcoming project in July 2024.

ME Dance Company are looking for Birmingham based communities to work with for our new upcoming project in July 2024. This can include community groups involved or interested in dance, music, poetry and art to create new work inspired by spaghetti junction, which will then be shared as a part of an exciting community festival celebrating the history and surrounding area, alongside our ME Dance Company professionals and youth dancers. If this sounds like a project your community group would like to be involved in, do not hesitate to contact us!

To inspire this, we are also searching for people who hold stories about spaghetti junction, particularly those who live or work in the area of Erdington, Gravelly Hill, Aston, Witton or Nechelles.  These stories can be before or during the time it was being built, so if you or anyone you know has any stories to share, we’d love to hear them!
