Professional

ME Dance Professional Company was founded in 2017 when Marcia choreographed Man in Suit on one of her former students, Guiseppe Marcarelli.

Marcia began her professional dance company because she realised that a lot of talented dancers were leaving the region to train and then not returning.

The Black Country has a wealth of talented dancers, but there are limited professional opportunities for them. Seeing this gap, Marcia began the company with the aim of establishing and promoting the region as a cultural and creative hub. Since 2017, the company has grown from a soloist to a core of 7 professional dancers.

In 2018, the professional dance company began work on Mania with it's core dancers...

Whilst the piece was a work in progress it was performed at several platform events across the Midlands. It was due to premiere at the Arena Theatre on 23 October 2019, however, due to COVID-19 the show was postponed and will now take place on 5 March 2021.

The piece is also due to be performed at The Castle Theatre, Edinburgh as a part of Innovations Dance Platform 2021.

During lockdown the professional company worked on several films, and was commissioned by Phil Knox-Roberts of Dharma Records to make a music video for Frans Bak’s new release ‘Echo Park’.
